A jury composed of the Rector of the UPCT, Felix Faure, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, José Antonio Franco, a representative from the Seneca Foundation and two members of the Office of Transfer of Research Results UPCT has made public the names g anadores the Third Children's Painting Competition, sponsored by the Seneca Foundation and the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
The competition was designed to promote interest in astronomy and spread the role of science in favor of social progress.
In this edition of the awards went to:
First Prize: Celia Alcaraz Bonachera
Title: The rocket travels in the sun
College: Virginia Pérez, El Algar
Course: 5th grade
Second Prize: Celia Cegarra Cuquerella
Title: The light from the stars the hidden city
College: Concepción Arenal
Course: 6 primary school
Third Prize: Paula Sánchez Díaz
Title: Galileo: A great discovery
College: Marist La Sagrada Familia
Course: 5th grade
The competition was open to all students in fifth and sixth grade enrolled in schools in the region.
The winners will be presented with their prizes, consisting of a Nintendo DS Lite and a diploma, a diploma and a camera, MP4 player and a diploma in a ceremony to be held on December 4.
