The Councillor for Social Care, Antonio Calderon, chaired the closing of the first Saturday of Computer Course organized by the City of Cartagena aimed at immigrant communities in the municipality.
The course, which has been termed basic Boards Office software has been programmed by the Municipal Institute of Social Services, in coordination with the New Technologies department of the City of Cartagena.
In the course, lasting 23 hours, 15 people participated from 10 immigrant associations, which have received the corresponding diplomas after learning to handle the office tools that will facilitate future work in partnership.
This action is included within the core of participation that develops from the Municipal Immigration Programme with the aim of supporting the formation of this group as essential to their integration into civilian life of the municipality.
The intention is that this course is the first phase of a process that aims to familiarize members of such associations with new technologies, as an indispensable means for information access and dissemination of issues relating to the functioning of associations.
The groups participating were: Almouhassinin, Tadamuni, La Paz, Culture and Youth, Paraguayans, Ecuadorians of Cartagena, Fulbe, Our Lady of Chilla, Onda, Tupac Jatari of Spain and Ghanaians.
