The Technical University of Cartagena participates in Science Week which runs until Sunday at the Botanical Garden of the embankment of Murcia with its own stand which will develop interesting scientific experiments and demonstrations of applied science.
The Research and Technology Transfer (OTT) at the Polytechnic University has installed a replica of a research laboratory for the public to see how they develop the experiments.
One of the most striking is the machine vision which can contemplate an experiment that the total number of coins in a certain place and offers its full value.
Has also prepared a fun photo booth in which U sing a webcam connected to a computer and a program image processing utilities will be made to the people who come to stand a video where a photograph of the individual to change into another person .
Another facility that links art with computer vision consists of a monitor as a picture framed in a museum.
A camera hidden behind the frame, capture the scene through an opening in the frame.
A computer system acquires images, transformed into colored images in which the public faces are shown in the style of pop-art portraits popularized by Andy Warhol, and displayed on the monitor.
And the little ones will become the shining star in the sky in a decor assembled.
Then each will receive a gift not to forget a moment as "stellar."
At the booth of the University, students of the Naval School of Industrial and present the prototype presented in international competitions.
There will be experiments with radio waves and all sorts of demonstrations with the aim that the audience enjoy your visit, provided however, with the clear aim of bringing science to society.
