The promotion of public transport is one of the cornerstones for sustainable mobility and environmentally friendly.
In this regard, the railway is the means of transport best suited to these premises.
Therefore, from Cartagena UPyD support the conversion to tram line from FEVE Nietos to Cartagena.
Also, UPyD considered essential to extend that line, leaving the center of Cartagena, Cabo de Palos pass through and be extended to municipalities in the Mar Menor and ending in San Pedro del Pinatar
A tram with flexible schedules and fares is a comfortable means of transportation and environmentally friendly, and fast return on which the passenger flow would be split between the Mar Menor beaches and shopping in Cartagena.
This project is critical to integrate and improve the quality of life of citizens in these areas, above partisan interests and the various administrations.
The councils of the municipalities involved, the Autonomous Region and the Ministry of Development should support this infrastructure and provide all necessary assistance to promote sustainable tourism and definitely responsible for the entire region of the Mar Menor.
