The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has moved its sorrow and condolences to the widow and family of Sabino Fernández Campo, former head of the House of the King, died yesterday in Madrid.
In a telegram, the mayor recalled the exemplary figure of this loyal servant of the monarchy and democracy in troubled times, as of February 23, and that citizens had a special sympathy and admiration.
The mayor reminded the connection of Sabino Fernández Campo Cartagena and especially with the Manga del Mar Menor, where he was vacationing.
It also noted its acceptance as honorary chair of the Foundation of the City of Cartagena, an entity designed to promote democratic values of coexistence, which Sabino Fernández Campo was an illustrious exponent.
