Deputy Mayor, Agustín Guillén, today opened the new field of artificial turf soccer Sports City Gómez Meseguer, located in the Industrial Cabezo Beaza, in a ceremony attended by the Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez, President the Association of Industrial Estate Cabezo Beaza, Javier Gómez Vizcaino, and the president of Futbol Club Cartagena, José Gómez Meseguer.
This is a football field 11 of 100 by 60 meters which also can be divided into two soccer 7, and has made Gómez Meseguer Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, the Football Federation Murcia Region and the Association of the polygon.
In addition, reforms have taken place in the environment, with the paving of the south end for parking, improvements in the gym and the placement of a grandstand.
The budget for these works, which began in early August, was around 400,000 euros.
With this performance, extending the sports complex built on land made available at the time by the City Council, and already has two artificial turf fields, a soccer-7 and other soccer 5, and a natural turf soccer 11 .
