The Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Constantine Sotoca, said today that "the region will have a national reference center for vocational training, after approval by the Standing Committee of the General Council of Vocational Training.
It is the national vocational training center of Cartagena, which is the only reference in Spain in the professional family of Chemistry.
Sotoca said: "This rating recognizes the career and work in vocational training, has developed in the Region of Murcia in such strategic sectors such as chemistry."
Specifically, the center of Cartagena will be a reference for the entire Spanish territory in training, innovation and experimentation within the five areas that make up this professional family, analysis and control, chemical processing, pulp paper and paperboard, farmaquímica and processing of polymers.
The Job Holder recalled that "the National Vocational Training Center of Cartagena was the first of the entire national network to achieve the ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate, and has extensive experience in the development of own teaching materials and activities innovative skills accreditation.
The center also participates in various international projects related to the chemical industry and provides training activities aimed both at students, employed, unemployed, and employers and trainers.
In the process of creating a Network of Centres of Reference, there have been a total of 52 centers in all regions, but only 25 have received this rating.
These centers will be leaders in the productive sectors awarded, will be responsible for establishing criteria for the remainder of training and drive few research programs are needed to meet the needs of the innovators.
