The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena, in collaboration with the Ministries of Education, Science and Research, and Public Works, Housing and Transport, has called the Transportation Assistance Grants for students living in the Municipality of Cartagena.
The requirements to be met by applicants are:
"Living in the Municipality of Cartagena.
-Be enrolled in a University Center of the Region of Murcia.
Move-daily or regularly for the University Center.
"That the per capita income of the Members of the family unit does not exceed the 4,700 per year.
"Measure the head of household or applicant, should be emancipated abreast of municipal tax payments or obligations.
That the applicant's residence is more than 3 km away from the university.
Otherwise, if necessary the use of public transport, must produce documents that need.
The amount to be distributed amounted to 16,000 euros, to be awarded in accordance with the special economic and family situations of the applicants, granting a total of approximately 100 scholarships.
The deadline for applications is 25 calendar days from the day following the publication of this announcement today, Oct. 6 in the local press, with which interested parties have until Oct. 31 to request grants.
The application form and bases are available at the Municipal Office of Information and Administrative Processing (SKIP) in the Office of Information and Citizen located in the street Sor Francisca Armendariz and the municipal website: www.cartagena.es .
These scholarships are funded by the Ministries of Education, Training and Employment and Public Works and Planning of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
As he explained a spokesman for the Department of Education, will aid as a complement to UNIBON, launched recently in Cartagena.
As you may recall the UNIBON is a subsidized flat rate that allows the university to use the city bus line unlimited travel for 20 euros a month.
With the scholarships, the same spokesman has stated, this will help the University of Cartagena who can not use the UNIBON from places that do not reach the urban lines, or require the use of other long distance.
