The expectation of Cartagena to the second edition of the Family Album of the Region of Murcia was evident at the opening of this exhibition which was held yesterday at the Palais de Molina.
Attended by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, accompanied by Francisco Jimenez, general manager of archives and libraries of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and Fernando Vázquez Casillas, director of Cehiform.
All participants were able to enjoy the 320 photographs showing the evolution of the city and its inhabitants, social, economic, urban development, among others, from the late nineteenth century to today.
A vision of society cartaganera through the eyes of its inhabitants, a collection of images donated by more than 100 families who have opened their life story to share with all who visit the exhibition.
The CEHIFORM has identified a total of 1,500 photographs that have been cataloged and archived for documentary, preserving the original state of the images.
The exhibition will be in Cartagena until 30 November between the hours of Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 hours to 13.30 hours and 17.30 hours to 19.30 hours.
