Cartagena City Council today joins the International Day of older people through a series of activities that are taking place all week and will continue until late October.
This day, instituted by the United Nations, calls for improved quality of life of older people, providing programs that enable older persons to live in an environment that enhances their capabilities, fosters their independence and provide them with support and appropriate care as they age.
Therefore, during this morning was realizdo an Open Day for all people over 60 years in the environment have been given away about 500 free tickets to visit the following resources to the Cartagena Port of Cultures:
- Shelter-Civil War Museum
- Panoramic elevator
- Augusteum
- Decumano
- Museo-Teatro Romano
This afternoon, the councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderón inaugurated a commemorative event held at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy, starting at 18.00 hours.
Will honor the four major centennial of our town and act the Band Third of Levante.
In addition, delivery will be supportive of the fund raised at the Senior Fair, to the charity of the Good Samaritan.
These actions are attached to those conducted with the Fundación Caja Murcia, concerts, recitals and theatrical performances and cultural week held some major clubs such as alum, Santa Ana, Virgen de la Caridad and Dolores.
