Cartagena inaugurated at the Palacio de Molina, the second edition Family Album of the Region of Murcia, a statement purporting to represent the history of the city, from the early twentieth century to the present day through 1,500 photographs donated by individuals to the Center Photographic History of the Region of Murcia (Cehiform).
Participation has been great, have collaborated with the donation of photographs more than 100 families in this project, which has developed over a year, highlighted the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, in the presentation of the sample, which has been accompanied by Francisco Jimenez, general manager of archives and libraries of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and Fernando López Casillas, director of Cehiform.
The Family Album of Cartagena presents a total of 320 images, which seek to recover the social memory of the city and can serve as a historical document of political, social, scientific or cultural, that lets us know the recent history of our city.
We made a great effort over a year, with the selection, cataloging and invetigación of these images, obtiendo a documentary that provides insight to Cartagena, said Fernando Lopez.
The goal is to make this show in all municipalities in the region.
The first time was in Puerto Lumbreras, with a total success, and we are preparing the third edition in Murcia, which was inaugurated in a few months, said Francisco Jimenez.
The exhibition opens to the public tomorrow, October 1, in an act attended by Culture Minister, Alberto Cruz and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, at 20.00 hours.
Will be open until 30 November, Tuesday to Sunday from 10.30 hours to 13.30 hours and 17.30 hours to 19.30 hours.
