The manager of the Hospital Santa María del Rosell, Manuel Ángel Moreno, was today awarded to teachers in the university classroom of Oviedo (Oviedo University Hospital), Madrid (Hospital Ramón y Cajal) and Barcelona (Hospital Valle d'Hebron), attending the Cartagena hospital to share educational experiences in different communities.
The Cartagena hospital last year served about 300 children enrolled in both facilities and the Naval Rosell.
These classes are educational units aimed at children from 3 to 16 years in order to prevent school gap during the time spent in the hospital.
Thus, it offers continuing education programs tailored to the officers of schools both during hospitalization and convalescence.
Classes are held Monday through Friday for the courses of nursery, primary and ESO.
Attention depends on the pathology of children and their needs, although generally in the hospital Rosell offered individually and Naval facilities in the unit because it has a specific classroom.
For this course, classroom del Rosell Hospital, in addition to the educational work, has prepared a comprehensive program that includes recreational activities (decorating, contests, activities for Christmas and development of a magazine.)
Among its projects include the national competition of stories "In my verse I'm free ', organized annually by the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, and the students participating hospital wards throughout Spain.
