In the first half of this year 296 people died in Spain in industrial accident, of which 11 worked in Murcia.
These figures are dramatic in themselves, but reflect only the tip of the iceberg.
According to several studies, low per accident, there are 40 events and 600 events or conditions that may cause incidents.
For every 600 times we see a wire on the ground in a closed environment, for example, 40 of them tripped, until a case of a fall with loss of time.
And this is where we want to influence. Does not help that the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, investigated the accident once it has occurred, unless we act dramatically in the 600 previous times that has produced the conditions that caused the accident today Platform: security systems turned off or manipulated machines blocked by inclination, excess weight on the platform, rushed to the time of making work machines, bad roads, maintenance is not performed, unqualified personnel to manage / conduct of machines, lack of preventive resources in small, etc.
This whole series of irregularities occur not only in the strictly industrial or general employment, but often can be seen, for example, before the citizens on the street under construction, a circumstance very common lately in our city.
Cartagena UPyD considered to be increasing surveillance and inspection of work situations that cause risks to workers, with the aim of reducing accident rates.
