On October 5, begins the third edition of the scaffolding erector course, organized by the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ALDE) and with the collaboration of the company Tyssenkrupp Xervon.
The course will last for 230 hours, of which 114 will be theoretical, 100 practices and 16 aimed at assessing knowledge.
The training content of the course are:
- Organization of work.
- Preparation, erection and removal of scaffolding tubes.
- Driving self-propelled trucks and auxiliary equipment handling lifting.
- Risk prevention, basic level.
- First aid and basic module to work in petrochemical industry.
The application deadline for this edition begins tomorrow, September 18 and will remain open until 24 September.
Those interested should submit to the office of the ADLE, Calle Caridad, number 1, the following documentaci''on: photocopy of ID number, unemployment card, certificate or equivalent education and curriculum vitae.
The company will select a total of 15 students, by conducting a test of skills.
The courses are held in the facilities of the company and the ADLE.
The minimum requirements are:
- School certificate or equivalent
- Fluency in written and spoken Castilian
- Be registered at the employment office as unemployed
- Good physical working conditions and flexibility to work in temporary tubular structures
- Ability to work at heights without balance disorders and vertigo
- Ability to work in confined spaces and industrial environments
The fourth and final edition will be held in early 2010 with the selection of another group of 15 students.
Upon completion of all editions of the courses the company is committed to hiring at least 60% of students who successfully complete the course.
