Cartagena City Council will install a protective structure to prevent detachment of Mount Street Gisbert on the premises of the Local Office of Traffic and an adjoining building.
The project was approved this morning by the Local Government Committee chaired by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, and has a budget of around 213,000 euros.
As explained Councillor for Infrastructure, José Vicente Albaladejo, the solution adopted for consolidation of the mountain is given by the study conducted by the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, as a consequence of rockfalls recorded last year as a result of wind and rain.
Building structures eliminate the risk of further landslides on these two buildings.
PERGOLA IN Aljorra
Within the same section of works and projects, the Board of Governors also approved the installation of a gazebo in the Plaza de la Purisima La Aljorra, to provide shade, and which has a budget of 14,000 euros.
