The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, accompanied by the Councillor of Celebration, Florentina Garcia, has presented this morning the traditional check to President of the Federation of Carthaginians and Romans Festival, Anthony Madrid, with members of its Board of Directors.

143,000 euros is the amount contributed by the City Council this year, maintaining the same number as the previous two years.

This aid must be added the work of a hundred people from the brigade and other municipal services, which make the assembly and development of events as well as, strength and security devices and cleaning.

The mayor has said we've been working so everything is perfectly coordinated, finishing the works of the old town for the events will develop normally and adapting the parties to increase visitors to be in the city, due to the different sporting events to be held in the region.

The Federation president, Antonio Madrid, thanked the contribution and commented that in today's challenging economic climate, the City maintains the same amount as previous years, which is a relief for the development of the holidays.

On the subject of the SGAE, the legal department of the City of Cartagena is studying possible ways of dealing with this legislation.

The mayor noted that this situation is absurd, because if we pay the SGAE to all the parties that take place in the councils of the municipality, we would have a serious problem.

RECREATION AREA IN THE OLD CAMP

The Carthaginians and Romans Festivities will include a leisure area for young people, located on the Old Camp festive, which is planned to develop a series of activities related to the holidays.

Among them, the concert will take place Amstel, where the group will perform with several groups Pignoise openers.
