Among the major activities, on the occasion of the festivities of Algar, the Day Care Center for Aging Services Municipal Institute of City of Cartagena held on 7 July, the open day.

Day Care Center Senior Alfonso Escamez, was inaugurated recently by the City Council in order to provide daytime care and comprehensive care for older people who need it, while maintaining the functional abilities of the individual, family support and creating a alternative to residential accommodation.
The facilities are of a social health center and family support offered during the day care for basic personal needs, therapeutic and socio-cultural older people affected by different degrees of dependence, promoting their independence and remain in their usual environment.
