The City of Cartagena has opened within a month for individuals and institutions that wish to join the granting of "Favourite Daughter of Cartagena, the doctor in famarcia and research, Maria Cascales Narrow.
The initiation of this matter was approved unanimously by a past full of Municipal Corporation, in recognition of his intense career in the field of biomedical research and university teaching.
Born on August 13, 1934, María Cascales was the first Spanish woman in 1987, agreed to a scientific academy, that of Farmacia, and has published over 150 research papers, five books and directed 15 doctoral theses and 13 dissertations degree.
It so happens that another Cartagena, Carmen Conde, also awarded the title of Favourite Daughter, was the first woman who agreed to chair the Royal Academy of Language.
After this period of public exhibition, which ends on 7 October, Coporación intends to adopt in full the license.
