The coordinator of IU in the region, José Antonio Pujante today expressed his confidence in the course of justice to pursue allegations of corruption "regardless of who carried out, are staff, office or business."
Pujante was speaking after learning that the Special Prosecutor against Corruption and Organized Crime has reported two officials of the Autonomous Region for alleged influence peddling on the case of the raft 'Yenny'.
He said that this claim "adds to the long list of suspicions generated from 2006 regarding the management of the raft, which was investigated for an alleged preferential treatment of the regional government Portman Golf Company."
It also stressed the need for increased human and material resources of the Office, to address this type of situation "more effectively."
