Cartagena Local Police carried out during the month of August, during days 10 to 23, a series of controls aimed at improving speed and control of road safety on public roads in the municipality.

The results of this action highlights the fact that of the 10,998 vehicles that have been subject to this control, including motorcycles, cars, vans, buses and trucks, 5095 exceeded the speed limit, mainly cars.

Of these, 331 vehicles (288 cars) have been reported.

The local police checks have been carried out during the month of August fall in the special campaign on speed control of the National Road Safety Plan for the year 2009 campaign which joined the city of Cartagena.
