The gym will occupy the building exterior of Pharmacy and Naval Optics
Rehabilitation Unit, University Hospital Santa María del Rosell, currently located on the ground floor of the building, moved this weekend to the Naval Hospital, and adds to the existing unit in it.
The mobilization of equipment and relocation of equipment will take place over the weekend and, therefore, all reorganization efforts and enable new fitness room and consultations will be completed and operational for use by patients from Monday 17 August.
Thus, the change will not cause any harm to the users of this service, you may continue to attend its sessions and rehabilitation therapies as normal as of this date.
Since last Thursday, August 13, the Rosell has led some rehabilitation consultations at Naval Hospital, which settled in the weeks before its infrastructure to incorporate this service.
The relocation will further consultations slight changes in the hospital, as they will be located next to the current rehabilitation and fitness to the Naval Hospital already had.
To ensure the livelihood and quality of service to patients, also used the facilities of the ongoing consultations of digestive Naval Hospital, which moved a few meters relocating themselves in the same plant.
The gym will occupy the large building Rosell exterior of Pharmacy and Optics of the Navy, where reforms have been made necessary to adapt the rooms to the fitness needs of these features, such as addition of ramps and accessibility measures in the doors, among others, to facilitate the movement of users.
The exterior provides excellent access to both vehicles and ambulances to move patients, and those who are in the main building.
Rehabilitation Unit, University Hospital Santa María del Rosell compose currently six medical rehabilitation, 15 physiotherapists, a supervisor, 12 assistants and two guards.
The gymnasium of the unit has the necessary infrastructure for the different treatments.
For this, it has short-wave devices and electro stimulation, infrared, ultrasound, laser, magnetic, inclines and slopes for patients with neurological problems, among others.
During the month of June, 657 attended consultations, whereas in the first six months of this year were a total of 4,183 queries.
