Deputy Mayor of the City of Cartagena, Agustín Guillén, and the Councillor for Tourism, Javier Herrero, will on Saturday August 15 to welcome the Celebrity Equinox, English cruise calls at the port to continue its journey through the Mediterranean to Italy.
The Equinox has 315 meters long, 37 wide and displaces 2,000 tons.
Capable of carrying 2,850 passengers and about 990 crew, is a true resort with 10 restaurants, 12 covers and an area of 2,000 square meters of real grass.
Adapting to new technologies and respect the environment, is the second ship in history to use solar energy, its design is intended to reduce fuel consumption (with an emission reduction of 95%) and has advanced wastewater purification and reverse osmosis plant of low energy, among other ecological solutions.
The vessel was officially inaugurated on July 31 in Southampton (England), and is celebrating its maiden voyage, named 'Best of Europe "for Rome, which brought you to our city.
