The City of Cartagena, through the Municipal Institute of Coastal Services, has launched today a day of extraordinary service cleaning the beaches of the municipality to tackle the problems caused by the storm has been lashing the area in recent days and, as expected, is subsiding.

The operators of the IMSL have focused their efforts on the problems caused by high winds, with the appearance of algae on the shore of the beaches and sand extension to the boardwalks and access to swimming areas and falling branches of trees and palms.
Thus, in the Levante Beach (Cabo de Palos) and Galúa (La Manga) has undertaken the removal of algae, clean sand in the walks and access to the beach and boardwalks reinstallation.
Los Nietos, Los Urrutias and Mar de Cristal has also been cleaning algae and has been reported to the Guardia Civil the presence of boats in the sand where they had been dragged by the wind.
