The councilman of Deportes of the City of Cartagena, Alonso Gomez, accompanied by the president of Futbol Club Cartagena, José Meseguer, and vice president of that entity, Nicolás López Cuadrado, have announced the forthcoming opening mid-September at the latest, of a football field with artificial turf in the Sports City facilities Gómez Meseguer, located in the Industrial Cabezo Beaza.
A couple of months had talks for a possible cooperation of the City in the installation of artificial turf field and we agree because it is a worthwhile actuacaión and also there willingness on the part of the Autonomous Community to help , said Alonso Gómez.
In this regard, the City signed an agreement with the club.
In addition, Councilman ahead that there are already other sports entity interested in a similar partnership for the implementation of other artificial football field, which opens a way to grow the number of sporting facilities that are available to the Cartagena .
The cost of the new football field with artificial turf Sports City Gómez Meseguer, whose construction began a few days ago, is about 400,000 euros.
The field measurements are 100 by 60 meters and you have steps and a paved area at the south end for parking.
