The City of Cartagena began last June to collect a total of 205,577 and receipts from various taxes amounting to approximately EUR 47 million, and now reminds citizens that the deadline for voluntary payment ends on Wednesday August 5.
These are the receipts of property tax of rustic nature, city and special features, service fees for garbage collection and sewerage in La Manga del Mar Menor, a taxi license and occupy the public domain with tables and chairs.
Most of these receipts - 185,085 - under the Property Tax Urban Nature, by which expects to raise EUR 46,435,508.53.
These receipts include receipts were 670 subsidized housing to be typical of large families in their various categories.
Out of this relationship have also been 2,503 urban land to be quota free under 6 euros.
Real Estate Tax rustic nature under 3,132 receipts.
The remaining receipts are distributed as follows: 8,473 in sewer fees and garbage from homes in La Manga del Mar Menor, 253 for a taxi license, and 161 tables and chairs in the street.
This year as a novelty for the payment of IBI urban nature is possible that citizens can split this tax payment in two installments.
This measure was approved by the government team at the last plenary for its launch next year, but given the economic situation and that many citizens have requested the installment payment this year, the city has made an effort and those interested in this system of payment as may be requested until June 15.
The payment terms of that division are:
First 50% of the amount due, July 2, 2009.
50% second deadline, November 2, 2009.

Sources of collection management Autonomous Agency of the City of Cartagena (OAGRC) explained that 47 percent of these receipts shall be paid by direct debits.
The agency has been doing this long campaign to promote direct debit of such taxes, which has helped to increase direct debit 4 percent.
The rest of the receipts, which are mailed to the homes of taxpayers, may be paid in offices, ATMs and services tax on the Internet Hall of the collaborating institutions: Cajamurcia, CAM, La Caixa and Cajamar and may use the website to access them OAGRC: www.oagrc.com
To pay in cash, taxpayers must enter the keys contained in receipts.
