The Department of Education of the City of Cartagena today closed its educational programming this summer 2009 with the completion of the Summer Schools, which have been developing throughout the month of July.
Have been aimed at children aged between 5 and 12 years and have been organized into two groups.
A 5 to 8 years old and a 9 to 12 years ago in days of Monday through Friday from 9:00 h to 14:00 h as well, with the option to extend the time as an option, 8 : 00 to 9:00 pm, with an animation workshop.
In this issue we have selected 15 schools spread across all areas of the municipality, with the aim of bringing the training offer a greater number of students and families.
The barrier, Mateos, Urbanización Nueva Cartagena, Dolores, Barrio Peral, Vista Alegre, Marfagones Molinos, El Bohio, Barrio de la Concepcion, La Palma, El Algar, El Estrecho, Pozo Estrecho Cartagena area and have become the seat of the Summer Schools.
This initiative has provided activities of both individual and group achievement, which were organized in thematic sections, addressing aspects related to the habits and values education.
In this sense, sports have included workshops, English, corporal expression and dance drama, etc.
For the second time, the Department of Education has hired ODE (Sports and Educational Guidance) as a company responsible for making the Summer Schools, as has a team of monitors leisure time physical education teacher and Special Education, lifeguards and auxiliary personnel and material resources and capacity to undertake such action.
The amount of each student was 100 euros of which 35 percent has funded the Department, benefiting nearly 500 young people from the program.
