The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, visited this morning, along with Javier Herrero Security council, the barracks of the Guardia Civil from Cartagena to express their condolences and express solidarity and affection of all the people of Cartagena to the Civil Guard and their families after the latest attacks.
Barreiro has indicated that the Civil Guard is a security that has always been given to the fight against terrorism, defense of freedom and the Constitution and this week has suffered two attacks: that of Burgos, in which Fortunately, there have been no fatalities, and yesterday in Mallorca, which killed two young Civil Guards.
The mayor pointed out that the barracks of the Guardia Civil of Cartagena and was attacked more than a decade and has indicated that the end of terrorism goes through the police control and enforcement of penalties.
Barreiro has subsequently participated in the silent demonstration in protest of the bombing that has been kept in the library of La Manga, which opens today.
Also at the Palace Hall, members of the municipal corporation and citizens have held five minutes of silence in respect for civil guards killed in the attack.
