People's University of Cartagena receives between 17 and 28 August, II Meetings / Workshops Digital Graphic Creation, which in this second edition will include the participation of more than 30 artists and arts professionals, engraving or photography, including teachers, assistants and participants, from Barcelona, Madrid, Galicia, Cantabria and the region itself: Murcia, Aguilas del Segura Molina, Caravaca and La Union.

Also local artists involved up to 8 scholarships from the City of Cartagena.

Following the success of last year in which it was necessary to enable waiting lists for the 2 courses, this Second Meeting Digital Graphic Creation will be built around three courses / workshops led respectively by renowned artists and masters of engraving or design and Juan Lara, who taught the workshop "Introduction to Gravure printing on copper and '(from 17-21 August), Luis García Adalid taught the workshop' The digital printing.

Treatments, techniques and hybridity '(17 to 21 August), and Miriam Cantera to teach the course' Lithograph on aluminum plate and other media '(24 to 28 August).

The courses / workshops are organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena and the gallery of contemporary art publisher based in Madrid Ediciones ZMB-Bartlett School of Architecture, in collaboration with People's University of Cartagena.

Coordinate and co-direct the workshops Luis González-Adalid, artist of wide experience and responsible for issues Editions ZMB-Bartlett School of Architecture and Miguel Navarro Salinas, director of People's University of Cartagena and teacher for the Arts.

The presence of teachers cited and recognition of the organizers after the last edition of 2008 have been enough of an incentive to coat the vast majority of the seats and the total of the scholarships offered.

Among the participating artists are recognized and rewarded in various photo contests, art and engraving.

With this second edition of Creative Workshops Digital Graphic, Cartagena is proposed as a benchmark for the world of graphic design, converting it into host city of an art project that promotes the creation from its base in the workshops, studies, through knowledge of various material and contemporary procedures, exchange of experiences, expanding contacts and collective participation.
