Colombia will be the guest of the festival La Mar de Músicas in its next edition, the sixteenth.
For this reason, as a foretaste of what can be enjoyed next year, La Mar de Músicas, thanks to the Ministry of Culture of Colombia, will bring to Cartagena to Barranquilla District Folk Band on Friday July 24 to 20 hours in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
A good occasion, said festival director, Paco Martin, to enjoy Caribbean music in its purest form, with musicians ranging from 5 to 70 years.
Cartagena come up forty of the 120 musicians who make up the band, whose main objective is to preserve cultural roots and traditions of the Caribbean.
They use instruments, songs and dances Caribbean.
Folk Band District is also a comprehensive arts education project to promote musical skills of its members, cultural diversity, democratic coexistence and social inclusion, with the intention of becoming the medium term in an education system that promotes regional musical research and joint training, school bands and folk and popular music.
Also, Colombia's ambassador to Spain, Carlos Enrique Noriega Shot will be on Saturday 25 at the close of the festival La Mar de Músicas dedicated to Morocco.
Both the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, as festival director Paco Martín, confirmed that La Mar de Músicas of this year is a success, with a full house almost every concert, and the final weekend with tickets almost sold out.
