The special gala dance was preceded by José Martínez great expectations and did not disappoint.
For an hour and a half long delighted the audience that packed the auditorium of the Park Towers with a show that mixed pas de deux with dance group, classical ballet with contemporary dance, in which the protagonists were Jose Martinez and Letestu Anges, yes, very well matched by the dancers of Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris.
The Cartagena was a prophet in his land and got out of their seats to an audience that cheered for several minutes, standing ovation to the dancers responded with an encore in which each brought out the best.
The highlights of this program, directed, choreographed and starred in some cases by José Martinez, were a beginning without music, dancing hand in hand with Letestu Martínez, in 'Scarlatti', the classic 'Giselle', also with first pair of dancers, 'My Favorite' ballet created by Cartagena in 2002 with eight dancers on stage, and the explosion of contemporary 'in the Middle, Somewhat Elevated', which put the finishing touch to a gala round.
And just hope that Jose Martinez to keep his word and do not leave to spend more than fifteen years to return to bring their art to the city of his birth.
