La Mar de Letras week starts out strong with two round tables to discuss the hottest topics of the Moroccan culture led by the most prestigious of each section.
The literary events are held in the auditorium of Cajamurcia and will serve well during summer UPTC through which students will get two credits.
The sessions on Monday, July 19 starting at 19.00.
Professor of Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies and Oriental Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid, Gonzalo Fernández Parrilla and a representative of the East and the Mediterranean publisher will be responsible for giving a lecture on translation and editing of works from Morocco.
Soon after, at 20 hours, the Spanish writer Eugenia Rico (Azorín Award winning novel in 2002, Primavera Prize in 2004 and Ateneo de Sevilla Prize in 2006) will be responsible for moderating a debate in which Arab political sociologist and Asmaa Benadad and Algerian poet living in Cartagena Jeannine Alcaraz will discuss the current state of literature in Morocco, invited by the Sea of Music in its fifteenth edition.
