La Cueva Victoria is being excavated for 25 years, first by Dr. Joseph Gilbert and later by his son Louis, who has taken over the investigation.

The data collected indicate that it was a den of hyenas, which were responsible for collecting carrion of all kinds in the Victoria Cave environment into the cave to almentar the young, which explains the high range of fossil species.

With the new infrastructure, the installation of a scaffold, a new stage in the excavation of the Victoria Cave, as it will allow in-situ study the material, which will help you understand the process of accumulation of fossils over time .
