The next weekend, on 17, 18 and 19 July was held at the Mar Menor, based on the Yacht Club grandchildren, I Murciano Wakeboard Championship, organized by the Club Wasa (Water and Sport Association) , supported by the Delegation Murcia Water Ski and Sports Department of the City of Cartagena.
Councillor for Sports, Alonso Gómez has been in charge of presenting this event with President of Club Wasa, Sergio Diaz, which organizes the Championship, highlighting both given the best features of the Mar Menor, this type of water sport that is growing has ensured the success and continuity in future editions.
The Wakeboard is a discipline of skiing you need flat water and develops the note drawing tricks that left the boat, using a table type snowboard.
This is a refreshing and fun sport, which only becomes hazardous when competing at high level.
Compete in the Championship between 30 and 40 athletes from the area of lift mostly in several male and female categories with a wide age range because it is a sport that can be practiced from age 6.
On Friday July 17 and begin workouts and Saturday 18 at 8.00 am, competition starts, finishing the tournament on Sunday July 19 with the awards to the winners.
