The councilman of Social Care, Antonio Calderon, has closed this morning at La Milagrosa R Senior Summer School organized by the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena on 35 major who participated.
During the first half of July, the elders have been able to develop their imagination and creativity while having fun and learning new techniques to help them feel better physically and mentally, through participation in various workshops of memory, self-esteem, yoga, tai chi, relaxation, theater, ceramics, painting etc.
All these activities have enabled staff to work on balance, welfare, emotions and feelings from a holistic perspective, with some simple exercises that help to bring new standards of behavior to relax and live better.
Also, during these days also have been a cultural tour around the city and a tourist boat ride on the harbor of Cartagena.
Is fulfilled and the main objective of this initiative, which was bidding to seniors who do not have the opportunity to travel to resort areas, meeting places where they will develop socio-cultural activities appropriate to their demands and needs.
