The seventeenth edition of the Festival of Folklore of La Palma has successfully completed a large audience, especially one of the most anticipated activities, the group's concert Jarcha on Friday 10 July, which brought together more than a thousand people the Palm of the Casas Grandes de La Palma and thrilled the crowd with folk and protest songs that made them famous in the music scene in the 70's.
This year the Folk Festival had the theme of rural medical practice, since the most ancient methods to present scientific medicine, with lectures that caught the audience from the first words.
There were also workshops on environmental games for children, as well as a photo exhibition on the theme of mining heritage, an example of the richness of our mountains, showing the manufacturing technique to extract metal contraptions land.
The festival has also had the participation of folk groups from Ávila, Almendralejo, White and, of course the hosts, La Palma, which featured the traditional music of their land.
Several town councilors, including Festivities, Florentina Garcia Vargas, attended the closing ceremony of this festival that strengthens every year.
