The general director of Citizen Services, Addictions and Consumption, Juan Manuel Ruiz, along with the general director of Planning, José Antonio Cordoba, and Deputy Mayor, Agustín Guillén, have iunaugurado Primary Care Center of Isla Plana.
The new IC replaces it worked so far in the local neighborhood association whose facilities were poor, and because of the inability to expand, it was decided to build a new one that could meet the needs of primary care area.
The building has a floor area of 192 square meters (of which 170 are useful) distributed on the ground floor with three distinct areas: Consulting, Management and Personnel and General Support Services (storage, toilets ,...).
It is a modern and quality provision that will enable professionals to develop their work in the best conditions for the benefit of all users, with air conditioning and data network throughout the building, which will allow the use of computerized medical record.
The total investment, including both the work and equipment, has been 361,820 euros, of which 146,820 has provided the City Council of Cartagena, in addition to the land, and the rest, the Autonomous Community.
Isla Plana currently has a population of 736 inhabitants, although the center has capacity for 2,000 people.
