Monday July 13, 2009 - By now, virtually Elbicho not need presentation.
With two superb LPs behind hundreds of recitals in praise of crowds (for each better, each one different) made over and breadth of the Spanish and surrounding countries and six intense years of career to his credit , the band led by Miguel Campello, is paving its particular stairway to heaven, is developing and defining his own highway to the stars as the great band of the present (and future) of that beautiful jumble that is the merger between Iberia and the Mediterranean.
Come to present their latest album "elbicho VIII To the Sea of Music on Saturday July 18 in place of Taj Mahal, which has suspended its European tour, which is supposed to be one of the villains of the festival nights and Rachid Taha which will accompany the poster.
In these times, nothing conducive to the free creation and risky bets in an industry in outright recession, elbicho has taken a further step, a step up in pursuit of true art, in favor of the rhythms from the heart but also of the viscera.
They began playing in the street and now we are treated to a third album that explores the essence that made them famous: bohemia away and a skin-deep psychedelia, flamenco lament and authenticity that breaks the established rules, which leaves the rails on the crazy train, which crushed the hit single, imposed as an insufferable life sentence in the popular music of our time.
Return to La Mar de Músicas after passing through the festival in 2005.
