Unfortunately, the garbage still abound on the beaches of Cape Tiñoso Corner: 36 large garbage bags, plastic bottles containing 400, 600 fragments of the same material, 240 cans, nearly 100 cans and cartons, 90 plastic cups, many shoes , clothing, .., among many other objects were taken Saturday afternoon at the port of Cartagena on board the yacht Else, disappearing from the beaches of Bolete Grande, El Pozo de La Avispa and Salitron now clean again.

The activity was framed within the field of environmental work ANSE organized by the Municipality of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community, and she has participated 30 people, including volunteers, monitors and other members of the association.

The geographical layout of the place serves as a brake on ocean currents and accumulate in small coves called "Rincón de Cabo Tiñoso" garbage thrown into the sea and swept away by currents and waves.

Unfortunately, too many visitors sometimes leave their trash on the beaches, which have no access to ground do not have maid service.

ANSE moved to the coast of La Muela-Cabo Else Tiñoso the boat and a dinghy to transport volunteers to the four beaches, which has been carrying out cleaning of garbage in the summer from about 10 years ago.

The work developed by the Association over the years, thanks to support from various government entities and has avoided some of the most inaccessible beaches of the coastline of the Region are not currently a real dump.

Since cleanup activities began, the leaders of ASEAN have shown a significant decrease in the amount of rubbish accumulated over the year on the beaches, although in some cases, such as Cala Salitron, this reduction does not prevent the overall situation Dirt is still very important.

La Muela-Cabo Tiñoso along the nearby Cabezo of Roland, is one of the largest undeveloped coastal areas of peninsular Spanish Mediterranean coast.

11,000 hectares of coastal mountains which are home to species such as Bonelli's eagles and real, peregrine falcon, owl, trumpeter finch, chough, genet, marten, and where plant habitats are priority among them several species of flora iberonorteafricana, which have led to the declaration of the area as a Special Protection Area for Birds (SPA) and Site of Community Importance (SCI), respectively.

The submerged shore-Cabo La Muela Tiñoso is also an area of great natural value, which include populations of several species of cetaceans such as bottlenose dolphins and other common blackfish.

ANSE years is requesting the declaration of the Marine Park area as Earth, in order to preserve the existing natural values and regain some of which were lost during the last decades.

The Plan Natural Resources Management in this protected area has not yet been finally adopted.
