The councilman of Social Care and the directors of Bancaja welcomes the results of the activities and the substantial contribution I Intercultural Week held in the municipality last March but the closing event was conducted in late May.
The bank, a contributor to this week, received from Councillor Memory of the actions carried out during the development of it.
The Area Director of Bancaja, Antonio Rubio García, has been proud to partner with the City in organizing an event that has aims similar to those of the Welfare of the bank: facilitating the social integration of different cultures meet in the same territory.
With this initiative the City of Cartagena to make better ways of working to improve relationships between the cultures living in the city, removing barriers, promoting solidarity and to involve the social partners.
The areas that benefited from the social event were the increased presence of immigrants, including both urban and rural areas.
The nine districts were selected: San Anton, Barrio de la Concepción, Casco Antiguo, Slum Virgen de la Caridad, El Albujón, La Palma, Alum, Santa Lucia and Dolores.
