The first phase Workshop School 'Hostel' has come to an end after six months since the two-year project launched by the Agency of Local Development and Employment and is settled with the training of 45 unemployed and students have been trained in various trades.
School Workshop has the specialties of carpentry wood (nine student-workers), water and electrical facilities (nine student-workers), Jewelry (also nine students) and Masonry I and II (eighteen student-workers).
During the months of training the students receive a scholarship to be subsequently recruited by the ADLE for a period of eighteen months.
This first phase is mostly training, but because these jobs require a significant practical component, allows the student-workers appreciate the result, making learning more attractive and motivating.
Training in the four specialties offered at the facilities which the Agency of Local Development and Employment Training Center Quarry, where is located the Workshop School.
The proposed works to be performed by the Workshop School 'Hostel' is the construction of a building of changing rooms and toilets in the Quarry Centre adjacent to the lodge, as well as the construction and restoration of the perimeter wall of the center.
The module Gardening Workshop School will maintain and improve the garden areas of the Centre as well as designing new green spaces using the latest techniques.
Finally, in the form on the installations are plumbing and electricity, combining the electrical and plumbing practices.
The complete draft of the Training Workshop has a budget of around EUR 1,400,000 and is funded by the SEF, the European Social Fund and Local Development Agency and Employment of the City of Cartagena.
