A patrol of the Maritime Service of the Guardia Civil has intercepted today, shortly before noon, a new craft such as sailing dinghy, with twelve people aboard, about 30 miles east of Cabo de Palos (Cartagena).

The officers of that body took charge of eleven illegal immigrants, while the other was transported by coastguard helicopter to the airport of San Javier for further evacuation to a hospital, and presenting symptoms of exhaustion.

Meanwhile, the other eleven were taken by the Civil Guard vessels and coastguard to the port of Cartagena, where immigrants, all Algerians, were made available to the National Police to instruct the files back to their country .
