Closed Thursday in the school hall Salesians of Sorrows, the school year of the intercultural centers of the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena.
The closure was made by the director of the Municipal Institute of Social Services, Antonio Mula Cruz, accompanied by the director of Salesians.
There were musical performances, dance and theater by young people belonging to the centers.
Other participants were women belonging to the promotion workshop for immigrant women.
Intercultural centers are a project framed within the immigrant program developed by the Municipal Institute of Social Services, where by means of various workshops and cultural activities and leisure time with an educational content and training, using methodology and youth coexistence Parents living in areas of downtown and neighborhood of Los Dolores, offering the integration of young people from different countries around us, by living and knowledge of different cultures, working mainly with a hundred young and collaboration mothers and fathers.
Intercultural Center of Los Dolores and the Old Town, the Immigration Program at the Municipal Institute of Social Services, extending its activities from October to June in an atmosphere of cultural exchange experiences, to encourage the meeting and the full integration of the immigrant in the social fabric, all through educational talks, group meetings, debates, film forum, crafts, excursions and cultural environment of workshops.
These centers are a bridge between immigrants and the society, to become a rallying point and coexistence where all can live independent
