The City of Cartagena, through its Department of Social Services, launched this summer, I Summer School aimed at older people who will develop in the building of the Miracle 1 to July 15, Monday to Friday from 10 to 12.30 hours.
This initiative aims to offer adults will have the opportunity to travel to resort areas, meeting places where they will develop socio-cultural activities appropriate to their demands and needs.
During the first half of July, participants will develop their imagination and creativity, while fun and learn new techniques that help you feel better physically and mentally, through participation in various workshops, memory, self-esteem, yoga, tai chi, relaxation, theater, ceramics, painting etc.
All these activities help staff balance work, welfare, emotions and feelings from a holistic perspective, with some simple exercises that help to bring new standards of behavior to relax and live better.
During these days also will be a cultural visit to the city and a tourist boat ride on the harbor of Cartagena.
Summer schools will open on July 1 at 10 hours for Social Care Councillor, Antonio Calderon and the director of the Institute of Social Services Municipal Antonio Mula, and will be closed on 15 July at 12.00 hours delivery of certificates of participation.
The registration deadline for participation is open until 26 June and is free, but with limited seating.
