3.2 million to expand the Community debrining Arcosur Irrigation for the use of the waters of the Mar Menor South WWTP (19/06/2009)

The Governing Council has approved the procurement of the works of the expansion project of the Community debrining Irrigators 'Arcosur Mar Menor' of Cartagena-La Union for the use of the grant of treated wastewater in the wastewater treatment plant located south Mar Menor in Cartagena, worth 3.2 million euros.

With the completion of these works will provide the necessary facilities debrining to expand the current plant capacity of 21,000 m3/day of water, from water treatment plant from the Lower South Sea in the months of maximum contribution, as July and August.

Specifically, the desalination capacity will increase from 7,000 to 28,000 m3/day of desalinated water.

This extension is made of six racks of 3,500 m3/day reverse osmosis unit production.
