Over 300 students of 5 th grade of primary education from ten schools in the county have participated this morning at the closing ceremony of the Municipal Program Driver Education that the Department of Education and the Interior, Public Safety and Traffic being developed in schools schools, both primary and secondary schools in the municipality.
In total, during this school year 2,700 students participated from 77 different schools.
A closure that attended, among other authorities, the council Public Safety and Traffic Education, Javier Herrero, Josefa Maroto, respectively, the Director General of Security, Carlos Nieto Millan, the Local Police Chief and Director of Education Park Vial of Cartagena, Antonio García Ruiz, and the provincial director of Traffic, Francisco Jimenez, and members of the Governing Board of Education Park Road Cartagena.
Students have been given a card certifying their participation in the program, allowing them to be part of driver education classes to be held during the summer, as noted by the Councillor for Education.
The activities have been developed both within the Traffic and Municipal Park in schools that have requested them.
Cartagena Local Police is responsible for forming road safety education to students, not only with the City Program, but participation in other activities such as the European Mobility Week.
It is known that the obligations of a pedestrian or a bicycle user compared to other vehicles on the street, said Javier Herrero.
For its part, the provincial director of Traffic, Francisco Jimenez, has indicated that this region is number one in Spain in child road safety education, an example even for other countries, and the largest national network of children's traffic park.
