The objective, Calderon said, is to foster among young people the basic principles for coexistence, such as responsibility and solidarity, offering entertainment options for leisure.
This is the second consecutive year that celebrates Divertirama and offer, from 18.00 to 22.00 hours on the esplanade of the Port, a series of actions (fencing exhibitions, latin dance or capoeira) and workshops (braids, bracelets , recycling), as well as exhibitions of manners and adventure activities and fun, with the placement of a superjumper and a climbing wall.
RECREATION AREAS
The Municipal Institute of Social Services has set a goal to further improve the services and programs aimed at children and adolescents, and this has created the leisure that offered a greater variety of activities in different districts of the municipality.
A total of 160 youths aged 9 to 15 years, participating in leisure spaces, both traveling and permanent.
The first has been launched this year in the Santa Lucía, José María Lapuerta, New Cartagena, Pozo Estrecho and Virgen de la Caridad, while experience a success and in some groups there are waiting lists.
St. Lucia currently 32 children attending two groups in José María pf 17 children in a group in New Cartagena 12 children attending in a group and in Pozo Estrecho two groups with a total of 30 children.
In addition to these space travelers, the IMSS working with permanent leisure space in the neighborhoods of Concepción, San Anton and the hills of El Albujón, which are running for three years with full participation of minors.
In the neighborhood of 30 children assisted conception divided into two groups, in Las Lomas del Albujón also covered the quota with 30 children and spend one day a week at Toy Library and St. Anton, which runs from April 2009, attended 10 children.
The timing of these spaces is developed in two phases: the first, which is just ended, between March and June, and the second, taking place from October to December, and the activities carried out two days week.
PROJECT 'NUEXTRA CLASSROOM'
This is a Studio Workshop in neighborhoods that arises from the risk and social exclusion which are children and young people living in the districts for intervention in disadvantaged socio-cultural environments.
The main objective is to make prevention work, developed primarily through a qualified educational support to prevent failure and truancy and provide people participating school new educational models and behavior options than those offered by its environment .
This experiment is aimed at children who are studying 5 and Primary 6 and 1 º and 2 º ESO and is carried out in the neighborhoods of San Antón, the Conception, Our Lady of Charity, Los Mateos and Lo Campano.
Has been provided along the course through RASCASA Association (through a coordinator and two teachers of Primary Education) in coordination with the technicians of the IMSS.
The statement has been very positive, has been widely accepted by both schools as parents and in almost every group has reached the number of students expected, which is currently 15 children and almost all groups reach that figure.
