A dozen young people with Down syndrome belonging to the association participate ASID Cartagena on Saturday June 20 at the gala-show that the School of Dance and Movement 'Margarita Lover' has been organized for the benefit of this partnership in the Nuevo Teatro Circo Cartagena.
The gala-show has been presented this morning by the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero, Juan Carrasco, vice president of ASID dancer Cartagena and Margarita Amante.
The collection of entries for the two sessions of the gala, at 19 am and 21.30 hours, will be used entirely to improve the Occupational Center non-profit association managed in the residential estate in Santa Ana Tickets are priced at 6 euros.
The show, which involved over 200 students and faculty of the School of Dance, Margarita Amante, different choreographies include a variety of styles, from flamenco to classical, to contemporary belly dancing, hip hop and dance Latinos.
This year has gone a step further, including in the assembly to young people with Down syndrome ASID Cartagena, one of the choreographies entitled 'Entresombras', prepared by Professor Paco López contemporary dance for dancers with and without disabilities sharing scenario.
As explained by Juan Carrasco, the economic benefits to be obtained from this gala will go towards the project 'Active Art', which aims to reorient the activities of its Center for Occupational through art.
This is to provide the Centre with sufficient means to offer its users a training structure that allows them to acquire the necessary skills to integrate the workforce into a company and participate in society.
The Department of Culture cooperates by providing the organizers of the New Theatre stage Circus, a collaboration that has been repeated on other occasions, as in the conclusion of the ASID Rock art exhibitions or sensations.
Cartagena ASID is a nonprofit organization that offers Temprado care services, occupational center, support and career counseling, educational psychology and educational support and recreational programs and leisure.
