Colleagues Program closed its doors this weekend by holding a series of activities organized by different schools of intercultural coexistence.
On the morning of Saturday, at the Port of Cartagena, an intensive day was organized for the enjoyment and interaction between youth of different groups, activities included:
- Large Group Session Aerobics
- Presentation of Diplomas
- Session of canoes and sailboats on the dock
- Walk in the Catamaran Resort
- Food Picnic
During the day, was attended by the Councillor for Education, Josefa Maroto, Youth Councillor, Ruth María Collado, and Heads of Social Care, Sport and Education.
This year, the PEER program, aimed at intercultural harmony for teenagers and young people through sport, culture and leisure, has been implemented in San Anton, Private Mediterranean, New Cartagena, El Algar, taking the football schools , women's soccer, volleyball, dance, theater and Intercultural Coexistence.
The young participants are residents of the neighborhoods mentioned, both indigenous and from different nationalities (Morocco, Ecuador, England, Colombia, Bulgaria and Bolivia).
With this act, dismissed the current course, to resume again after the summer activities.
PEER Program is developed by the City of Cartagena, through the Councillors for Social Care, Sports, Education and Youth, with grant from the Ministry of Labour and Immigration, through the General Directorate of Integration of Immigrants.
