Cartagena firefighters have managed to neutralize the produced butane gas leak in a tank car after a train accident of dangerous goods in the town of Alum.
Firefighters used water curtains to deflect the butane gas, taking advantage of wind direction, toward unpopulated areas of alum, while trying to repair the crack in the tank car was occurring where the gas leak.
Subsequently, measurements were made in the vicinity to ensure that no gases have been dangerous to the population after the accident.
Around a hundred houses in the area closest to the train tracks have been evacuated as a precaution to further afield to the crash site.
In the simulation, have involved about sixty people, including troops from Civil Protection, Fire, Local Police and Guardia Civil.
After neutralization of butane gas leak, has been ordered to terminate the simulation.
