The Councillor of Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Javier Herrero, met today in Murcia at the hands of Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz, recognition of quality of the Municipal Office of Tourism, through its membership of ISO 9001, so that the region already has 28 centers attached to this quality system.
In addition to meeting the quality standards of that standard, the award recognizes the career of the offices and the volume of applications and services, taking into account as criteria for assessing the degree of qualification of personnel, communications status with other offices and agencies, developments in the office and the professionalism of the whole.
So, with the consolidation of the network of Tourist Offices in the Region, a project that was launched in 2002, it meets the objective of maintaining an updated regional tourist information, improve quality processes, create a unique image as a network and implement a software tool, PACE, connecting all offices and they were dumped in real-time data derived from services.
To continue in this vein, the Ministry of Tourism has announced that throughout this year will launch a new training program to improve language skills of staff in the offices of tourism, enhance local knowledge and disseminate a greater volume of tourist information.
The map of certifications is integrated as well as by the office of Cartagena, for the Aguilas, Alhama de Murcia, Bullas, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cehegín, Cieza, Fortuna, Jumilla, La Manga, La Union, Lorca , Los Alcazares, Mazarron, Mula, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Torre Pacheco, Totana Yecla, as well as three data points for Los Alcazares, and new accessions Archena and Moratalla.
In short it is expected that the offices of Aledo and Abanilla also join this network quality.
